Metalmarks:
The taxonomy in genus Apodemia is under constant revision and should be considered a work in progress. I'm not personally qualified to make judgement and defer to any expert help I can get. Since determination from photographs alone is not usually viable a good deal of research and communication is required along with extra attention given to associated plants, location and flight times. Some of the subspecies here have already been elevated to full species status by some.
